PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT ITS BESTAs facilitator, Karen coordinated the monthly meetings and facilitated book selection and discussion. The group involved 10 active members. Karen’s book recommendations were always outstanding. Her vast knowledge of reading research always resulted in some very interesting books for the group to read and discuss. Consequently, discussions were always so rich with information. Our book group learned a great deal about teaching reading from Karen and from each other.
