INCREDIBLE STRIDES IN READING SKILLSIn the first grade, my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia. She struggles with basic reading skills. This past summer, she was given the opportunity to work on a one-on-one basis with Dr. Karen Wieland. They have been using the Wilson Reading system. My daughter has been making incredible strides in her reading skills. This past summer for school, she has read five books with very little assistance.

A wonderful series of classes. An opportunity not to be missed, to study with Dr. Wieland. I wish I was offered classes like these when I was a child. My daughter is doing the entire series, and it has been fantastic, English decoded. Dr. Wieland’s course is immersive and compelling, my daughter loved every single session. My daughter might not have had the benefit of etymology until college/university, but here it is, it is suitable for children and leaves them with deep understanding and literacy skills for life. I cannot recommend Dr. Wieland’s courses highly enough. Rating 5/5

A great turning pointMy son was afforded the opportunity to work with Dr. Wieland individually with the Wilson Reading program. This structured, systematic, sequential, multisensory phonics approach provided him with many opportunities to increase his word recognition abilities. This was a great turning point for him and the results were amazing. In no time he was reading novels by Ray Bradbury and American short fiction. We went from this teachers telling us he might never read at grade level to their being impressed with his independent reading abilities. My son does better in all aspects of his school work for the simple reason that he can read the directions on tests as well as the material on the test itself. My husband and I are amazed at his increased fluency when we listen to him read and we are so proud to hear him have discussions with adults about The Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451, and other books he has read. Our son is 10 and enjoyed learning about the building blocks Greek & Latin roots into words he uses as well as understanding how to explore the meaning of new words; we could see the wheels turning in his head during the class. He took chances on words that were similar to what they were learning but did not have the same meaning and Dr. Karen provided wonderful redirection and made the class a safe area to make mistakes, which is important to us in our sons learning.
