MY SON RAISED HIS TEST SCORE BY 140 POINTSKaren is passionate about teaching! It is obvious to her students that she loves what she does, bringing much knowledge and enthusiasm to every session. Karen tutored my son for his SAT’s and with her guidance and support he raised his test score 140 points. The time restrictions with standardized testing is extremely challenging for students with dyslexia. My son is currently a honor student without support in high school. He was frustrated and struggling when it came to SAT/ACT. Karen spent time explaining how to prepare and take the test, as well as working with him to explore strategies that had him confidently walking into the test center, fully prepared. Our son is 10 and enjoyed learning about the building blocks Greek & Latin roots into words he uses as well as understanding how to explore the meaning of new words; we could see the wheels turning in his head during the class. He took chances on words that were similar to what they were learning but did not have the same meaning and Dr. Karen provided wonderful redirection and made the class a safe area to make mistakes, which is important to us in our sons learning. Karen Wieland is an encouraging, meticulous and musically gifted singer, voice teacher and choir director.
