By the way, as I had mentioned before, [my son] is dyslexic, and thus has some difficulty with written work. I signed him up for the 2nd part of this class because he told me I had to. He told me that so many more words make sense to him now because he can see how they add up. He thinks more mathematically so these classes have put pieces together for him that he was unable to connect before. This is the first language class we have done that he has personally requested to continue! So, thank you for all you are doing. It is making a difference for him, and he is enjoying it!

BEST EDU PROF I'VE HAD AT ANY INSTITUTIONDr. Wieland is by far the best prof I’ve had at Bona and the best Edu prof I’ve [had] at any institution. Her classes are demanding and worthwhile. I learned a lot. Assignments are not easy but will help students understand the course objectives. A great turning pointMy son was afforded the opportunity to work with Dr. Wieland individually with the Wilson Reading program. This structured, systematic, sequential, multisensory phonics approach provided him with many opportunities to increase his word recognition abilities. This was a great turning point for him and the results were amazing. In no time he was reading novels by Ray Bradbury and American short fiction. We went from this teachers telling us he might never read at grade level to their being impressed with his independent reading abilities. My son does better in all aspects of his school work for the simple reason that he can read the directions on tests as well as the material on the test itself. A wonderful series of classes. An opportunity not to be missed, to study with Dr. Wieland. I wish I was offered classes like these when I was a child. My daughter is doing the entire series, and it has been fantastic, English decoded. Dr. Wieland’s course is immersive and compelling, my daughter loved every single session. My daughter might not have had the benefit of etymology until college/university, but here it is, it is suitable for children and leaves them with deep understanding and literacy skills for life.
